Well I drive 140k's to go to Tafe 4 Days a week so almost 700k's a week with local running around to the shops and visiting friends...

In my TF 3litre Manual with no mods.. I usually get between the 500-550 point before I get a little to worried about sucking down the crap in the tank...
My record so far has been 620k's and I pulled in for fuel when the fuel light was on for 6 minutes..
Being a student doesn't help... Although I am never putting E10 down the throat of my Magna regardless of how desperate I am..

At the moment it has done 450k's and it is one notch below half a tank..
but as we all know, the first half of the tank seems to last forever but the last half dissapears quickly !!

Doing all country driving, My 96 TE used to do 600-620 km then you could put in 65+ litre, Mums 98 TF(215000km) does 700-720 for similar running, Traded to 01 TJ and it did 800-820 doing the same sort of running. After 241000km I traded it on a 04 KL Verada, there the good news ends. The TJ used to often give 7.0-7.5 L/100 for a tank full, the verada is much happier sitting between 10.0- 10.8, hence my ECU resetting thread. This is the first one of the four with 16" alloys and also have a wing on the boot, i don't know if they are the cause, fuel use is the worst surprise I got with the change-over, I just can't fallom what they have done wrong. Was there big change in emmision control rules around 2003-2004?
